SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY
Suits beginners & gardening with kids
Sow at any time of year in a punnet indoors / or scatter in the garden in spring & autumn.
Indoors for fast & early plants: First sow the seeds in a punnet on the surface of good quality seed raising mix.
Now press the seeds gently onto the surface of the mix to ensure good contact.
But barely cover the seeds with sieved mix, as light is needed for germination.
Then place the sown punnet in a warm, well-lit position (but not in direct sunlight).
Keep moist but not wet.
You can use a temperature controlled heat mat if you have one, but this is not essential.
Temperatures of 18-21°C approx. are best for rapid and optimum germination.
Seedlings emerge in approx. 10-21 days.
Seed Count: 10 seeds per pack approx.
(We always aim to exceed the stated seed count and give a generous serve).
