Pelargonium endlicherianum blooms like a flock of vivid butterflies.
With hot-pink, flared butterfly winged flowers.

Blooms are in flocks, with up to 15 individual flowers per 40cm. tall stem.
And hover well above a groundcover dainty little, furry grey-green discs of leaves.

Pelargonium endlicherianum is a clump-forming perennial.
So it forms a dense mat of thickened rhizomes just below or across the surface of the soil. 

This unusual and beautiful little Pelargonium hails from the deserts of Turkey and Syria.
So obviously it is well acquainted with heat and periods of dry.

P. endlicherianum is the hardiest species of Pelargonium

Turkey and Syria in the cooler parts of the Syrian Desert. The hardiest species, standing all but the worst winters, but resenting too much wet.

Drought-tolerant

Very frost hardy and able to withstand hard frosts down to -25C or more.

SEED SOWING ADVICE: QUICK & EASY

Suitable for beginners & gardening with kids

Sow any time indoors in punnets.
INDOORS: First push the “pointy end” of the seed down into moist potting mix the depth of the seed. Leave the curly “tail” sticking end up.
Changes in humidity will drive the seed deeper.
So do not cover the seed with mix because these seeds need light to germinate.

First soak the sown punnet in a water bath, so the moisture percolates right through from the bottom to the top.

Then either wrap the moist, sown punnet in cling wrap or place in a zip-lock bag.
And place in the fridge for 4 weeks.

After 4 weeks, remove from fridge, unwrap, and re-moisten.
Then place in a warm, well-lit position and continue to keep moist.

Temperatures of 18-21C approx. are best for rapid and optimum germination.

Seedlings then emerge in approx. 7-30 days.

SEED COUNT: 2 seeds per pack. (This plant sets very few seed).
