BLUE STAR SEA HOLLY
Silver-blue, metal-like cones & large feathery ruffs. Excellent cut fresh or dried flowers. Handsome, foliage rosette. Full Sun. Water-wise. Drought hardy. Copes in poor soils, including sandy. Evergreen perennial clump. Hardy in frost, dry, heat, salt. 60cm H x 60cm W.
SEED SOWING ADVICE:
Sow at any time of year in punnets indoors / or scatter in garden winter-early spring. Seeds need cold.
Indoors: Sow in punnets on surface of good quality seed raising mix. Cover lightly with mix to same diameter as seed. Keep moist. 18-22C approx. for 2-4 weeks. Then cling wrap punnet & place in fridge (not freezer) for 4-6 weeks. Unwrap & remove to unheated, cool place. Most seedlings should emerge in 5-30 days. But do not discard. Some seeds may come later. Prick out as seedlings as soon as possible to larger pots. Form long tap roots.
