Dicentra formosa has chains of dainty pink lockets. Long blooming spring & summer.

Good cut flowers. Pretty grey-green lacy foliage.

Water-wise. Enjoys Shade to ½ Shade under trees & shrubs.
Shade groundcover.
Frost & dry hardy, evergreen perennial. 30cm. High x 60cm. Wide.

SEED SOWING ADVICE: Warm – cold – cool.

Sow in winter / early spring in a punnet.

First soak the seeds in fresh water for 12-24 hours.

Then rinse, sow in a punnet on surface of good quality seed raising mix.
And press gently to ensure good contact with the mix, and barely cover with mix or fine sandy grit. Because light is needed for germination with these seeds.

Now continue to keep moist indoors at approx. 18-22C for 2-4 weeks.

Then wrap the moist punnet in cling-wrap and place in fridge (not freezer) for 4-6 weeks.

Now remove and unwrap, and return to cool place, outdoors if necessary as approx. 13C during this phase is best for rapid germination.

Then most seedlings should emerge in approx. 30 days.
But do not discard as some seeds will continue to sprout.

Seed Count: 20 seeds per pack approx.
