Anemonopsis macrophylla
COLUMBINE ANEMONE
Anemonopsis macrophylla is an elegant and refined beauty.
Elegant & refined beauty
It bears airy sprays of beautiful nodding flowers, each displaying a double circle of petals.
The outer petals are almost pure ivory white, whilst the centre is purplish-blue.
And the flowers have the most beautiful, waxen texture, which also happily makes them weather hardy and durable.
Totally hardy, these fabulous plants will excel in shade and well-prepared organic soil.
SEED SOWING ADVICE:
For indoor sowing place seed in a bag with s+ome moist soil and place in the fridge at 4°C for 6 weeks then move to warmth, 10°C for germination. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed raising mix. Just cover seed with a sprinkling of soil. Water from the base. Germination takes approx. 3 weeks but is erratic and can take much longer. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Acclimatise and plant out when danger of frost has passed.
Seed Count: 4 seeds per pack (seeds of this treasure are scarce).
