Anemone leveillei
BLUE CROWN ANEMONE
Snow white stars, crown of prominent blue stamens, and mauve flushed backs. Pretty, neat foliage mound. 30-45cm high and wide. Treasure for Dappled Shade or Shade under trees and shrubs. Blooms spring and summer. Easy to grow and low maintenance perennial clump. Frost hardy and tolerates clay. Mass plant for lovely shade groundcover.
SEED SOWING ADVICE:
Sow any time indoors in punnets, or scatter directly in garden in autumn and winter.
Sow on surface of good quality seed raising mix. Press gently into surface. Barely cover with mix.
Keep moist, at temperature not above 20C. If no germination in 3-4 weeks, wrap punnet in cling-wrap and keep in fridge (not freezer) for 2-4 weeks. Return to not above 20C for germination. Seedlings begin emerging in approx. 30 days. Do not discard punnet as seeds will continue to germinate.
